FAQs

What flavor is ElleVet’s Feline Paste?
Our Feline Paste has a chicken and fish flavor developed specifically for cats.
How much Feline Paste should I give my cat?
Refer to the Directions for Use chart for your cat’s administration amount based on weight. Most cats do well on the recommended twice-daily for mobility, joint comfort, and calm support. If you’d like to talk through your cat’s needs, our licensed veterinary technicians are happy to help at (844) 673-7287. You may also book a free online vet tech consultation for personalized guidance.
What’s the difference between Feline Paste and Feline Soft Chews?
Both contain ElleVet’s proprietary CBD + CBDA with UC-II® and Hydrolyzed Casein. The difference is the format. Feline Paste comes in an easy-to-measure syringe, which may work well for cats who more readily accept a soft-textured paste instead of a soft chew. Feline Soft Chews are salmon-flavored and can be given whole or crumbled.
What is UC-II®, and how can it help cats?
UC-II® is a Natural Compound that works with your pet's immune system to help maintain a healthy joint environment, supporting mobility and comfort in cats of all ages.
What is Hydrolyzed Casein and how can it help cats?
The hydrolyzed casein we use in our Feline Paste is a milk protein that contains a naturally occurring peptide that’s proven to promote a sense of calm and relaxation without sedation.
What is the difference between dog and cat products?
All ElleVet’s CBD products contain the same safe and effective Proprietary CBD + CBDA Oil. Through our research, however, we have learned that cats need a slightly higher amount of CBD + CBDA per kg of body weight than dogs because they don’t absorb it quite as well as dogs. The administration tables on our Feline products reflect this higher amount to ensure cats get the support they need. Additionally, the Natural Compounds™ used in each product were carefully selected according to support needs and species. As such, the active ingredients may not be the same across our canine and feline products. Feline Paste is formulated just for cats, with our CBD + CBDA, paired with UC-II® and Hydrolyzed Casein added for joint and calm support.
Can I switch from one product to another?
Yes! Our Feline Paste and Feline Soft Chews are formulated with the same CBD + CBDA and additional Natural Compounds, including UC-II® and Hydrolyzed Casein, so you can use the products interchangeably. Our Feline Oil and Soft Gels contain CBD + CBDA only. You can switch from one to another if you’re still finding the right fit!
How do I get my cat to accept the paste?
Our original paste had a high acceptance rate in our palatability study, and we’ve enhanced flavor to feline-friendly chicken and fish. However, as we all know, cats can be finicky! If your cat is hesitant to eat the paste, we recommend giving it at mealtime to improve palatability and increase absorption. If you have questions about administration or which product is right for your cat, please give us a call at (844) 673-7287. You may also book a free online vet tech consultation for personalized guidance.
Are your products safe for cats with food sensitivities?
The chicken and fish ingredients in our Paste are partially hydrolyzed. If your cat has a food sensitivity, our Oil or Soft Gels may be a better fit. As always, check with your veterinarian about your cat’s specific needs.
Where can I find the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for this product?
View a recent COA here. Each product has a batch number with a corresponding COA. Learn more about COAs and how to find the COA for your specific product here.
