Today we are thrilled to spotlight Chessie – an almost 21-year-old cat who loves to play, cuddle, and purr.
“Just about twenty years ago, a small tortie-colored fluffball was placed into my hands when a ninety-year-old home health patient said, ‘I can’t take care of her anymore. Can you please find her a home? I love her so much.’
Faced with a six-month-old kitten and a request I couldn’t refuse, I scooped her up and brought her home to my three daughters.
We named her Chessie because she was like the Cheshire Cat, always disappearing into unlikely places.
