First Choice Animal Care and Surgery Center is a one doctor practice led by Dr. Kern, DVM, MS. Their goal is to provide clients and their pets with the best veterinary experience possible, and they have a wonderful team in place to deliver on that promise!
We caught up with First Choice’s Office Coordinator, Courtney, to learn more about day-to-day life at First Choice.
How long has your clinic been in business?
11 years. Dr. Kern started his practice as a surgery center and eventually added primary care a few years later.

What is one interesting aspect about life at First Choice?
Dr. Kern is a board-certified surgeon, which means we get to see very cool surgeries. Our team loves seeing all of the different cases that get to go into our operating room.

Why do you use ElleVet for your patients?
Our patients are using Ellevet for pretty much everything. This includes mobility, stress, palliative care, skin support, etc.
What is your clinic’s favorite ElleVet product?
Do you have a memorable story regarding a patient using ElleVet that you would like to share?
We have a patient who had joint discomfort and bowed front legs. She was struggling getting up and moving around. After going on Ellevet she now walks into our clinic and gets around much better. It has changed her life and activity.
